- I am 33 years old. I have worked in the field of social care for the past 15 years. Prior to moving in Jersey in August 2006 I was manager of a secure children's home for Essex County Council. Since my dismissal from my post as Greenfields Centre Manager in June 2006 I have set up my own business making oak furniture called Jersey Oak (www.jerseyoak.com). My family and I have decided to stay in Jersey becasue, despite what the States of Jersey have done to us, we love it here. The island is an amazing place to live and visit, full of amazing people, and we hope that we will be happy here for a long time to come.
